British Benevolent Fund (BBF) – Almeria Partners
Financial fund based in Madrid for emergency and hardship. For Almería area residents, applications must be made by partner organisation including Age in Spain or the British Legion (details available on this website). If in doubt contact the fund directly for advice. Funding can be made in extreme cases to help return residents to the UK to live.
Based in Madrid but can be applied for via partner organisations. This is a fund for last resort cases e.g. applicants will not be accepted if they have savings, or friends/family who could assist. There are specific criteria in order to become a beneficiary (see website). They may fund the following: repatriation costs, one time grants (e.g. for mobility aids, carers, or medical care), & short term financial relief.
