Emerlan
Emerlan exists to assist vulnerable people and families on Lanzarote and the neighbouring island of La Graciosa. It also takes part in emergency rescue on land and on sea. In terms of food and shelter, the charity are able to assist with short-term food packages in an emergency and can organise accommodation through a third party if required. They can also bring elderly or vulnerable people their medication and provide courtesy transport to a hospital, doctor’s appointment or similar by making an appointment for the service.
Emerlan operates a fleet of emergency rescue and transport vehicles, including ambulances, on the islands run by volunteers and works closely with regional and local government.
