ICAB Legal aid (Immigration Advice)
The ICAB (Il·lustre Col·legi de l’Advocacia de Barcelona) is the professional association for lawyers and solicitors for Barcelona city and the coastal area of the province. Legal advice can be provided free of charge for people on low incomes including on immigration or residency issues with the authorities. If you have received a formal unfavourable resolution (a resolución) from the immigration authorities you can contact a centre for an initial free consultation. They have several centres around Barcelona province and you need a prior appointment by seeing the address on the weblink. It is normally possible to ask for an English-speaking lawyer. If you just have a general enquiry about immigration you can visit the main centre listed in Barcelona.
