Jalon Valley Help
Jalon Valley Help provides assistance to those in need within the Jalon Valley and surrounding areas, and also supports local charities and organisations, regardless of nationality.
The primary focus of activities is the provision of care and assistance. The group offers respite, rehabilitation following surgery and end of life care for residents. As well as:
24 hour helpline for emergency situations
Ánimo, a drop-in facility in Alcalalí providing support, advice and social activities for the elderly and seriously ill
Loan of a range of medical equipment, free of charge
Access to interpreters, particularly for attendance at medical appointments
The drop-in is open every Tuesday 10:00 – 13:00 hrs and for those needing confidential support. For more information and current availability contact 659624643. There are also three charity shops in Alcalalí, Orba and Jalón / Xaló, open Mon-Sat, 10:00- 13:00 See the Charity Shops section of the website for more details. Volunteers are always welcome.
