Stronger Together Fuerteventura
Stronger Together is a volunteer group supporting foreign residents in Fuerteventura with a wide range of issues and advice. For a very small membership fee, members have access to a range of free services or at a fraction of cost elsewhere.
They can even point you in the right direction for things they cannot cover. Assistance and guidance can be given, for example, in understanding paperwork, online applications and other bureaucratic processes in Spanish; helping with translation or interpretation in a hospital visit or advice on accessing welfare support or social programmes on the island; and helping people learn Spanish with good-value classes.
The group covers the island with regular meetings/drop-in centres in Corralejo and Caleta de Fuste. See their website for latest details. They also have a Facebook group for members. Membership details are on their website. There are also member offers available at some local businesses. Some support services may be by referring members to third parties after some general initial guidance.
